Many Pakistanis take China's vaccine assistance for Pakistan amid a severe health crisis in the country as a salvation for them, which wins their hearts and souls.

Abdul Rehman Tarar, a retired senior Pakistani military official and author of "Chinami," a book on China in his native Urdu language, has been observing Pakistan-China friendship for decades.

Recently, he witnessed the relationship reaching new heights when the common people of Pakistan reaped the fruit of the deep-rooted friendship with China, through China's vaccine donation and supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Local people, as well as the health workers, consider the vaccine aid as a huge relief for Pakistan.
