Chinese American girl Kelsey Chen has gained widespread attention in the media for her outstanding academic performance.
Now, the graduating high-school student has decided to enroll at the School of International Studies of Harvard University.
She received offers from no less than 10 prestigious colleges in the U.S. this year including Stanford University and Washington University.
Her parents both work at world-famous tech enterprises after they graduated from top colleges in China when they were young.
Chen is an outgoing and talkative girl, and leaves people with a highly confident impression.
She has a wide range of interests, such as drawing, playing the piano, writing poems and fashion design.
Chen also participated in many debating competitions and has won several state and national-level prizes in America.
In a recent interview, she attributed her success to her sense of responsibility, independence and kindness.
As the leader of her debate team, Chen once arranged nearly everything whilst the coach was absent and gained recognition from parents.
She also helped other students in academic studies in the library.
Chen's story has inspired overseas Chinese, encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
In terms of her career plan, Chen said she wants to be a college teacher and make the world a better place through her academic contribution.
