Born in 1973 in Longquan, Chen Weiwu, the third generation in his family who worked for the state-run porcelain factory, studied for six years of celadon making in Cixi, the hometown of celadon, after the factory was re-organized. In 2007, Chen returned to Longquan to set up his own studio for celadon and got increasingly famous in local.
