With modern technologies, experts and researchers from the Beijing Institute of Archaeology have been doing "physical examination" for ancient buildings to assess and determine potential risks facing them.

Over the years, the team has completed renovation designs for dozens of cultural relics sites under state-level protection.

At present, the researchers are conducting regular examinations for the Wanning Bridge, which is over 700 years old.
