A Comprehensive Framework for Promoting the Rule of Law

The word we talk about today is “A Comprehensive Framework for Promoting the Rule of Law”.

Promoting the rule of law is a fundamental national governance strategy that emphasizes the leadership of the CPC.

At its Fourth Plenary Session held in October, 2014, the 18th CPC Central Committee put forward a series of new initiatives to this end. The overall goal of these initiatives is to build a system serving "the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics" and a socialist country under the rule of law.

To realize this goal，it is vital to develop a sound legal system, backed by efficient and effective enforcement, oversight and support mechanisms, together with an effective intra-Party system of discipline and rules.

For example: Promoting the rule of law is essential to realizing the country's goals of building a moderately well-off society.
