Canadian expat Ryan Fairlead has made many like-minded friends through playing ice hockey in Shenyang, China.

The 38-year-old Canadian came to China for the first time in 2013 and now works as an engineer at a company in Shenyang.

As the Beijing Winter Olympics approaches, Ryan said it will get more people excited to play winter sports, and he is looking forward to a great performance from all the athletes.
