A group of farmers in the township of Akostang, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, have seen their walnut sales skyrocketing, thanks to a local cooperative.
Abdurahman Khbier founded the Bostan walnut cooperative in 2013 after graduation.
The sales of walnuts in 2020 totaled 2,200 tonnes, or 28.1 million yuan (4.4 million U.S. dollars).
