Australian teacher tries edible lotus root

Zoumatang, a village in East China's Zhejiang Province surrounded by well-connected waterways, grows edible lotus root.

In August, lotus root in Zoumatang becomes ready for harvest. On August 9, Timothy Charles Salisbury from Australia, a faculty member of Georgia School Ningbo, joined us for a trip to Zoumatang to taste a local specialty, lotus root soup with pork ribs.
