The Tongluoshan Mine Park sits on a former mining area that thrived on limestone resources. Since 2012, efforts have been made to recover the local ecological environment once damaged by mining activities.

The park has gone through years of ecological restoration and infrastructure improvement, and it is now a popular tourist destination. The lake water there is rich in elements like calcium, magnesium and strontium which take on various colors in the sunlight.
