Trash-sorting robot, developed by Dongguan-based high-tech company in south China's Guangdong province, is able to quickly identify and classify wastes, with a sorting speed of 5,700 times per hour, and the sorting efficiency is three times that of manual labor. The robots have been used in more than 50 domestic wastes factories in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other Chinese cities.

"Established in 2018, our company focuses on developing AI wastes sorting robots. At that time, after we concluded our investigation of this industry, we found that the way of dealing with wastes in China's factories is still primitive, that is, elder workers have to sort the garbage by their hands in a relatively harsh environment, with corrosive and sour smells, and workers would frequently get their fingers pierced by the waste.

We spent a lot of time on collecting big data of our AI garbage sorting robots, building cloud platforms, and development and production of the robots. And finally we have produced the robots, which have now been applied in more than 50 garbage-sorting factories across the country. And the robots are mainly applied to sort domestic wastes, industrial wastes, construction wastes and recyclable wastes.

After sorting out, these recyclables enter the back-end renewable resource factory, and will finally be transformed into renewable products, which will then return to consumers themselves. In the process of the entire industry chain, our robots can truly help sort wastes in a refined, intelligent, and digital way so that we can achieve the goal of carbon neutrality (by 2060)."
