Wujiajing Village in northwest China's Gansu Province is located on the west edge of the Tengger Desert, the fourth largest desert in China.

The village started to implement a series of policies to modernize its agriculture industry in 2009, including the introduction of modern agricultural enterprises and land transfer, among others.

With the technical support of China Agricultural University, the company has begun to breed breeding cattle and beef cattle.

Local people have also expanded the region's green areas and are earning more money than ever before through the desert agriculture and breeding industries.

Farmers' incomes have risen from 2,000 yuan (309 U.S. dollars) per month per person to up to 10,000 yuan (1,550 U.S. dollars).
