An expert from the Netherlands on international water law has praised China's promise on carbon neutrality, as the country has vowed to attain carbon dioxide emissions peak before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.

Otto Spijkers, professor of China's Wuhan University, made the remarks on the sideline of the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2021, which opened on Monday in the city of Guiyang, southwest China's Guizhou Province.
