Brendon Fleming, Assistant Principal of Georgia School in Ningbo, East China’s Zhejiang Province, joined a recent food-hunting trip as the first featured guest.
Ningbo has a 7,000-year history of rice farming dating back to the Hemudu Neolithic Culture. The first trip chose a rice-themed destination—the Wang Shengda Museum in Ningbo. The museum shows the various processes in rice farming, including planting and grinding. Every month, the museum promotes a seasonal rice dish. April’s star dish is Qingtuan, the quintessential spring food in Ningbo.
A video shows how Qingtuan, the green glutinous rice dumpling, is made.
