While the world has been plagued by the raging COVID-19 pandemic, the most extensive virus to afflict humanity in over a century, China has delivered an outstanding anti-epidemic performance, demonstrating the advantages of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
The CPC acts as a strong core
The government's performance reflects the institutional strength of the CPC in exercising leadership and coordinating large-scale efforts.
In the early days of the outbreak of COVID-19, the CPC Central Committee rolled out epidemic prevention and control measures to curb the spread of the virus. It set up a leading group for virus prevention and control measures and deployed the Central Steering Group to central China's Hubei province and other regions severely hit by the epidemic.
330 medical teams consisting of over 41,000 healthcare workers were assigned to aid Hubei; two makeshift hospitals, Huoshenshan and Leishenshan, were built in about 10 days, while 16 temporary treatment centers and over 600 isolation centers were built in a short time.
China has mobilized resources from the whole country to win the battle against the epidemic. As of late November 2020, over 400 billion yuan (about $61.8 billion) had been allocated for virus prevention and control efforts nationwide and COVID-19 bonds of one trillion yuan had been issued.
With the deceive measures, all COVID-19 patients in Wuhan hospitals were discharged in just three months.
People comes first

China has done its utmost to treat all COVID-19 patients and delivered the best medical resources nationwide to hard-hit regions. The country has conducted massive nucleic tests and provided free medical treatment for COVID-19 patients.
While guaranteeing a stable supply of medical supplies and daily necessities, China has also ensured smooth logistics services between urban and rural areas and helped enterprises resume work and production. Amid the epidemic, primary-level Party organizations have delivered daily necessities to the doors of families under home quarantines, poor families, and elderly people who live alone.
Relying on the people in all endeavors
The Party has always upheld its mass line, namely, doing everything for the people and relying on them.
China rallied medical workers nationwide to fight on the front-lines and mobilized people from all walks of life to get involved in epidemic control, including CPC members and cadres, community-level volunteers, couriers, security guards, construction workers.
