On the night of July 7, 2020, two firefighters from Meiling Fire Station of Wanli Fire and Rescue Brigade were swept away by mountain torrents and tragically perished while conducting traffic accident rescue and transferring stranded civilians. The two firefighters who unfortunately sacrificed their lives, were Zhang Wuzhou and Xu Jixin. To their fellow fire-fighters, they were not just brothers-in-arms but also friends. The fire-fighters were all in deep grief at the memorial service, because their brothers-in-arms would never return.

Heroes passed away, but they have never gone far. Zhang Wuzhou and Xu Jixin's heroic deeds will definitely be an inspiration for future generations.
