When the first light of the morning reaches Shenshan Village, which sits deep in the mountains of Jinggang Mountain, Jiangxi Province, Peng Xiaying has already got up and started her busy day.

The Peng Xiaying family, once identified as an impoverished household in 2015, has never given in to fate. Peng Xiaying foresaw the business possibilities when tourism began blooming with the influx of nationwide tourists at Shenshan Village. She started the first Nongjiale (farm homestay) in the village. As a model of poverty alleviation and prosperity achievement, she flourished her business and improved the livelihood of her family by constantly improving cuisines and enhancing service.

Peng Xiaying, who has earned her wealth through her own hard work, shares with us a story of poverty elimination infused with modesty and noble sentiments.
