Thrift valued as family tradition by Chinese framing craftsman

A Chinese craftsman of framing artworks has inherited thrift as his family tradition. Seventy-three-year-old Fan Dexiang is an inheritor of the "Zhuangbiao" skills, the traditional Chinese framing methods for painting and calligraphy artworks created on rice papers or satins. Thrift is a virtue that we should not only inherit from our predecessors but also pass it to our offspring, Fan said.
