Ditan Park in northern Beijing, once a venue for imperial rites for summer solstice is now the perfect place for people to avoid the scorching heat under its trees, whose luscious leaves form an arch over the walkway.  A short evening walk in the park amid chirping birds is an excellent way to witness the harmony between nature and urban life.
