On January 23, 2020, Wuhan was locked off from the outside world after the novel coronavirus outbreak started to get out of control. At the time it was unprecedented, but the world has changed a lot in these three months.

Now, with much of the outside world on lockdown, Wuhan is open again. Local cases of COVID-19, which at the height of the epidemic reached nearly 15,000 in one day, are down to zero.

The day after Wuhan opened up again I was on a high speed train from Shanghai to check it out for myself.
