China's textile industry, driven by technological innovation, is embarking on its intelligent manufacturing journey.

Nowadays, the textile industry is one of the most active industrial sectors in China in terms of scientific and technological innovation. Some 11 achievements in the textile industry were awarded the State Science and Technology Awards from 2016 to 2019. A number of technical problems have seen breakthroughs in the fields like fiber materials, green manufacturing and textile machinery.

In terms of making rules, Chinese textile and apparel companies are active in the development of international standards and technical regulations.
