Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China has implemented the basic strategy of targeted poverty alleviation, creating a world-renowned poverty alleviation miracle. In just eight years, China has lifted nearly 100 million rural poor people out of poverty, completed the task of eliminating absolute poverty, and achieved the poverty reduction goal of UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development ten years ahead of schedule.
I have been invited to visit China many times and have been to Shanxi, Shaanxi, Liaoning among other provinces. What impressed me most was their diligent and independent spirit. Under the leadership of the CPC, it is through their arduous work that the Chinese people have created this unprecedented miracle in poverty alleviation.
