Medicinal herbs planting industry in NW China's Gansu Province

Photo taken on Oct. 31, 2020 shows the piles of licorice picked up at the licorice planting base in Wutong Village, Gaotai County, Zhangye City, northwest China's Gansu Province. The county has planted a total of 72,000 mu of various types of Chinese medicinal herbs this year, including 2,600 mu of licorice. The average income per mu is expected to be around 4,000 yuan.
