Guizhou province has become China's largest planting base for tea, chilis, blueberries, plums and Rosa roxburghii Tratt, according to the province's poverty alleviation and development office at a news conference in Guiyang on Tuesday.

To promote the rural industrial revolution, the province selected 12 agriculture-related industries with local advantages and took steps to alleviate poverty.

It also began formulating quality standards and technical specifications to get quality products to market.

From January to September this year, sales of products that help poor people in Guizhou reached 10.27 billion yuan ($1.52 billion), benefiting more than 1.1 million impoverished people in 83 counties and districts.
