Han Tongke, a member of Qingdao Traffic Police in east China's Shandong Province, has hosted some 60 live broadcasts since 2016, to better inform the public about her job and promote relevant services.
Her live-broadcasts have covered subjects such as drunk-driving; public-welfare activities; road conditions during holidays and other vehicle management affairs.
Moreover, because of her innovative ideas both in content and in form, Han has gained much attention from the Traffic Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security.
She has also been praised by the Traffic Police Headquarters of Shandong Public Security Department, China National Radio, and, Xinhua, as well as other media platforms.
"I don’t think I deserve to be called the Online-Celebrity Policewoman. What I have done is no more than doing my job by means of the internet," Han said.
During the 2017 college entrance exams, Han's live broadcast from Qingdao No.58 High School was selected as the Star of the College Entrance Examinations by social media app Toutiao.
Last year, Han, as a representative of Shandong Traffic Police, attended the National Traffic Police Host Competition and advanced into the semi-finals, with her number of online viewers reaching 300,000.

Han's husband is also a police officer.
In May, her husband was injured on duty and severely battered with three broken ribs. To make it worse, the next day, her child suffered from a severe fever. Given the circumstance, Han had to juggle between coping with her own tasks in work during the day and taking care of her husband and child all night long.
Despite the bad injury, her husband went back to work after merely taking one day’s rest.
"Though feeling angry about that, I quite understand that my husband just didn’t want to delay his work," Han said.   From morning till midnight, from planning to management, broadcasting has brought many unimaginably experiences for Han.   "I want to do better in the broadcasting field, which is also one issue that should be taken into consideration as a publicity policewoman," Han said.
Meanwhile, Han also hopes the publicity activities through live-broadcasting will better promote the social atmosphere of law-abiding among citizens of society.
